When leadership development goes beyond a single individual and involves multiple people in a group (or team, division, unit, etc.), it can produce amazing results for an organization, and separate those that succeed from those that fail.

Our approach to group coaching is based on The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® model and its highly acclaimed assessment tool, the Leadership Practices Inventory® (LPI®).  Backed by over thirty years of research, using evidence gathered from over five million leaders worldwide, The Five Practices, along with its ten commitments, have consistently been found to be related to positive individual and organizational outcomes, as measured and validated by the LPI®.

On an individual level, leaders who engage in The Five Practices are shown to be more effective and successful than those who do not, and they are able to increase motivational levels, commitment, and loyalty with those they work with.  From an organizational standpoint, The Five Practices have also been found to provide organizations with significant benefits, such as higher levels of efficiency, effectiveness, and employee engagement.  Our group coaching is designed to help ensure that your workforce can coordinate their talents and work together towards achieving the very best outcomes for your organization.

How Our Group Coaching Works

One of the best ways for an organization to launch a shared leadership initiative is by having a work group take part in our flagship workshop, The Leadership Challenge®. While this approach can serve as a great lead-in to group coaching, we have designed our coaching packages to be just as accessible to those who have no experience with either The Leadership Challenge® or any of its related content.

In either case, the process begins by having each group member complete the Leadership Practices Inventory® (LPI®), which is one of the most widely used and trusted 360-degree leadership assessment instruments in the world (click here for an in-depth research report).  The LPI® gathers data from the individual, as well as their manager(s), co-workers, and direct reports.  By collecting data from multiple sources, the LPI® captures a more complete picture of how each group member is perceived as a leader, and the results equip them with powerful feedback on what they can immediately start doing to become a more effective leader (click here to further explore the benefits of 360-degree feedback).

Based on The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership® model, the LPI® is a questionnaire that measures 30 key behaviors which research has found to be critical to success.  When individuals take the LPI® as part of a group, it provides deep insight regarding the leadership behaviors of not only the individuals, but of their entire group and/or organization as well.  This data, in turn, produces two critical reports:  an individual LPI® report and a group LPI® report.  Our coaching helps groups make the most out of their LPI® experience by making sure that the results are interpreted correctly and used to accelerate both individual and organizational performance.  A sample of each report can be found below:

LPI® 360 Individual Report:

The individual report shows an individual’s leadership behavior as a snapshot in time, which provides an invaluable benchmark for future reports, and lays the foundation for measurable progress.

The group report takes the data from a selected group of individuals and provides an assessment of how frequently the group demonstrates exemplary leadership behaviors.  This can be useful for those who wish to improve their leadership capacity as a collective group or organization.

Our Group Coaching Packages

Depending on what may best suit your needs, we have different coaching packages available for your consideration.  Please review the different options below to see which package may be right for your group or organization.  Each package can accommodate social distancing and equips each group member with a complete LPI® assessment, a set of support material, and both an individual and group LPI® feedback report.  To help ensure that the LPI® results are interpreted correctly, each package also includes a private debriefing session for each group member, which is conducted by trained LPI® coach, Dr. Rob Acosta.  Our more elaborate packages provide increasing levels of support and are designed to help maximize the results of your group for up to half a year or longer.
